Dear Pupils,
Your homework for this weekend is to brainstorming on ideas and design your plant model that illustrates the transport of food and water in your Nature Study Book (as shown below). Your model can be 3D, 2D, done on drawing block, huge vanguard, shoebox or any other things that can hold the model. The water & food need not be moving. Your model is a snap-shot of how the food and water are transported in the plant. Be creative in you design & use of recycled materials. Happy Model Making!
Pupils who are ready to do up the model can get it done over the weekend & bring your model on Monday (12 Jan)
Some ideas discussed in class today are listed below.
Leaves: Draw & cut-out from paper, pick up dried leaves from your neighbourhood.....
Stem: Straw, tube.....
Roots: String, ropes, thread......
Food: Red string, beads, green bean, rice grains, plasticine.....
Water: Blue string, styrofoam beads, plasticine.....
After we are done, can we put the roots in a cardboard box and then put all of them in a plastic bag?
ReplyDeleteYes no problem Shyan.
ReplyDeleteIf we can do the model do we still need to draw?
ReplyDeleteMrs Tan,can we just draw the plant transport system instead of making it?
ReplyDeleteHi pupils, I do encourage you to have fun making the model to consolidate what you've learn in class. If you intend to make the model, then, take a picture and paste it in your Nature Study Book. (No need to draw). Pupils who cannot make the model, the design and drawing must be done in your NSB.
